In an interview reported by South Dakota Searchlight on Oct. 16, 2026, Rounds called Israel an ally of the United States and said the U.S. should keep supporting Israel in the Gaza war, pointing to the Oct. 7, 2023 Hamas attack. He said the U.S. also benefits from selling weapons to Israel because Israel improves those systems.

  • IsraelSaid

In an interview reported by South Dakota Searchlight on Oct. 16, 2026, Bengs said Israel has gone too far in its Gaza war and that U.S. military assistance should be conditioned on compliance with international law. He also pledged to refuse campaign contributions from AIPAC.

"If you’re going to commit war crimes, if you’re going to commit genocide, you do not have our support and you will not receive any additional support until you get on the right side of international law and human rights."

  • ICESaid

In a Jan. 25, 2026 post on his campaign newsletter, written after federal immigration agents fatally shot a man in Minnesota, Bengs called for an independent investigation of the shooting and proposed splitting ICE's duties among other departments: customs to Commerce or Treasury, enforcement to Justice, and immigration services to Labor.

"The only path forward now is to melt ICE, dividing its constituent responsibilities and duties into other government departments that are better suited to perform them."

  • The Trump administrationSaid

In an Oct. 8, 2025 post on his campaign newsletter, Bengs said the Trump administration's tariffs were hurting American farmers, said lawmakers were letting the President impose tariffs without constraints, and criticized $20 billion in U.S. support for Argentina's economy.

"Under the Trump administration’s nonsensical economic policy, tariffs have again become the primary obstacle to the success of American agriculture."

  • Where they want the country to goSaid

In a May 20, 2025 post titled "I Used to Prosecute Crimes," about President Trump's plan to accept a luxury aircraft from Qatar's royal family, which Bengs said would violate the Constitution's Foreign Emoluments Clause, he described his Senate run as an effort to stop such conduct by the President.

"Now I’m running for the U.S. Senate to stop them in the Oval Office"

I Used to Prosecute Crimes, Brian Bengs (campaign newsletter on Substack), May 20, 2025

  • Foreign policySaid

In a Sept. 24, 2026 post, Bengs called the U.S. war with Iran a "forever war," said Congress, including Rounds, never asked about objectives, cost or an exit strategy, and said he hoped negotiations would let the U.S. get out of the war as soon as possible.

"We never should have entered this conflict in the first place."

How It Started vs. How It’s Going, Brian Bengs (campaign newsletter on Substack), September 24, 2026

  • Money in politicsSaid

Bengs told South Dakota Searchlight in October 2026 that campaign finance reform would be his single biggest policy goal if elected, saying voters of all political stripes want it.

"They want the corruption of money in politics to be reduced or eliminated."

  • TechnologySaid

Bengs said in October 2026 that he wants a halt to new AI data center construction until the federal government sets what he calls meaningful guardrails, citing concern about a future superintelligence.

Build what to say

Pick who you're calling and what you want to talk about. Offices log calls by issue and position, so a clear ask from a constituent is what gets counted.

Your script

Hi, my name is ____, and I'm a constituent from ____, ZIP ____.

I'm calling about AIPAC money, ICE and checks and balances.

I want my senator to refuse money from AIPAC PAC and United Democracy Project, and to say so publicly.

I want my senator to vote against more money for ICE detention and enforcement.

I want my senator to use Congress's oversight power, including hearings, subpoenas and votes, whichever party is in charge.

Please record my position. Thank you for your time.

    Tips for calling
    • Call your own senators and representative. Offices mostly count calls from their own voters.
    • Say your ZIP so the call counts as a constituent.
    • You'll talk to a staff member, not the official. That's normal: they log your call.
    • One or two issues per call is best.
    • Voicemail counts. Offices go through it every day.
    • If the D.C. office is busy, try a state office, or the U.S. Capitol Switchboard at (202) 224-3121.
    • Call again next week.
